Shopping for Makeup
Shopping for the right colour of cosmetics that match your tone and will not irritate your skin can be a challenge. With so many make up products available in the market, the choosing can get confusing. So how would you know what colour to pick?
First, you need to find out what type of skin tone you have. Stand in front of a mirror and bring a piece of gold and silver fabric against it. If the gold material makes you look good then you have a warm tone. If silver makes you look vibrant, then you have a cool skin tone. If both colours make you look beautiful then you have a neutral tone.
Now that you know what type of tone you have, start shopping for your make-up then. Start with the foundation. If you happen to have a cool skin, then buy those that has a hint of blue or pink. If you have a warm tone, then purchase the one with yellow tinge. The blush comes next. Shop for red, neutral and brown shade for your warm skin. For cool skin, buy blush that are coloured mauve, plum, and pink. Now for that perfect lipstick, the selection will vary on the colour of your skin and not on the type. Purchase a lip tint with a shade that is only a couple darker or lighter than your skin. But of course, you should also take into consideration the time of day you intend to use that lip colour. For nighttime, dark and bold shades are preferable, while for daytime, lighter colours are the choice.
